#24- Living in the Limbo: Bollywood Emotional Moments & Om Shanti Om Deep Dive
About this episode
Explore the limbo feeling between the holidays with a spiritual Bollywood lens. This episode analyses Om Shanti Om, Shah Rukh Khan's portrayal, and the emotional states of mindfulness, reflection, and living in a paused moment.
We're back. Are we already? What day is it? What year?
This is what we call the In Between Time folks.
The mysterious purgatory Limbo Gray area, a holiday haze between flurried snow and a busy, busy snow globe, and the official ending and settling of the glittering snow globe flakes. But as with the Globe and Om Shante Om, we can be still frozen in the mist, awestruck and confused where to move. Or we can use it to our advantage and use the mystery, the fog, add it to our aesthetic as we dance about oblivious still, but more like owning it, making oblivious and dazed and starry eyed our choice as our boy Teddy Roosevelt.
Theodore Roosevelt again said, do what you can with what you have, where you are. There's always something you can do with something. Pros and cons to everything. A little creativity can give you a little perspective, a breakthrough even. But I don't want to breakthrough right now. I want to hide out, cozy up in this snow globe bubble in between time here. It's Amy, by the way.
Oh boy. Like I said, the holidays were a lot and going out and going out makes me want to go in. Which reminds me to ask you, are you an extrovert or an introvert? I'm definitely both. It gets confusing. Probably for others, definitely for myself. Can you believe they came up with yet another term here too? What is it? Attrovert sounds like other vert, which is similar to its meaning. If that's the case, then I am a all the vert, All of the above baby, count me in If.
If it is one thing you should start to know about me by now, it's that I won't sit still in one category per SE. Unless this in between time now, before the New Year's Eve and New Year celebration, and before the New Year itself. I'll sit here now. Mm hmm. In this category. Oh yes, I'll sit still now in this snow globe time. Metaphorical bedrock snow rot, time rot. It does take time blindness to new heights or lows. Join me here, will ya? Let's just be. I like to be. Being is not for the weak, you know.
No seriously, not to overhide myself here as a professional and very proud hype girl that I always do so authentically and honestly love so much to be in this world, I gotcha. But in all seriousness, stopping the doing and starting the being, What do they say? We're not human doings, we're human beings facing when you are being the ultimate nightmare. Like I said, it's not for the weak. Facing yourself and all that you are avoiding is top notch heroism. I don't mean to brag. Or you could face the ultimate yourself and all your dreamy, dreamy dreams.
I tell ya, if daydreaming was a sport. I mean, we're talking world class. World class champion here. Do you practice? Do you partake? Are you in the hush hush daydreaming club too? Maybe. How about just taking a moment for once and after such a hectic busy marathon of a time and approaching more to celebrate with utter ecstasy and abandoned soon a plug in a recharge, not looking forward, not looking backward again. Just here, here and now. Is that your cup of tea? Yes, just like a cup of tea. My all time favorite magic, symbolically and legitimately, as I do mix my herbs and tea to new levels, you know I don't mess around.
So when it comes to certain things, breathe, dream, recover, let the snow globe settle, let it keep spinning. Even so, watch it, sip it, let in all the goodness, all the wisdom, magic, inner knowing, joy, sipping nature into your nature as your nature soaks it up. A bubble bath, a pause, a twinkle in time, charging in progress.
Currently. We should. You know it's coming, you know, Are you guys ready for it? New. Do you like new? Or are you like a hoarder clinging to what is known to what has been, with no room for new at all? Do you have any room in there for something new? Change is inevitable. Do you resist it or embrace it? Do tall do these two extremes as we face new and change a new year upon us any day now. If I ever come out of my dreamy dreams here, Do these two extremes and viewing change remind you of anyone you know?
You want to guess, figure out who I'm getting ready to dance with here next in my snow globe dreaming dreams with you. Do you know?
