#7- The Simran Method | DDLJ & Shah Rukh Khan Romance
About this episode
In this episode, The "Simran Method" I explore personal growth, influence, and manifestation through the lens of one of Bollywood’s most iconic characters: Simran from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).I dive into psychological ideas, mindset shifts, and the powerful ways the people around us shape who we become.I discuss the “five people theory,” inspired by research from Dr. David McClelland, and reflect on how the individuals I surround myself with can influence my mindset, ambition, productivity, and even my future. I explore how proximity to inspiring people can elevate me while toxic environments can quietly hold me back.I also compare life to a social media algorithm. Just like algorithms feed us more of what we engage with, I believe my reality begins to mirror what I consistently focus on, think about, and give energy to.Using Simran from DDLJ as my case study, I explore what I call “The Simran Method of Manifestation.” To me, Simran isn’t someone who passively waits for life to happen — she dreams, believes, takes action, stays true to herself, and moves toward the future she wants. In the end, I share the mindset I’m learning to adopt:to surround myself with what I desire, study what I admire, protect what I allow into my mind, and intentionally become the person I want to be.What if manifestation isn’t just wishing? What if it’s who I choose to become?#ddlj #Simran #ShahRukhKhan #Kajol #Bollywood #Manifestation #PersonalGrowth #Mindset #SelfImprovement #Psychology #dilwaledulhanialejayenge #LawOfAttraction #BollywoodAnalysis #characteranalysis #algorithm #desire

Thanksgiving is upon us. Yum.
Oh yeah, bring on the food. Those of you who know me well
know I have good taste right in all things, not just film.
I am just kidding. But oh so literal, bring on the
flavor and the fun Thanksgiving style.
Good films, good food. I love I have some favorite
foods on Thanksgiving Day. What are your favorite holiday
foods? Speaking of food though, have
you ever heard the saying you are what you eat?
Is it true? Makes one think, uh oh, here we
go. What about what about all the
other things we consume other than food?
For example, have you ever heard of the five people theory that
you are basically the average OK of the five people you spend the
most time with? You change into these people or
something in a way they say. Are we that influenced by what
we surround ourselves with? You know, I had to find out
more. And according to research by
social psychologist Doctor David McClellan at Harvard, the people
you spend the most time with determine as much as 95% of your
success or failure in life. Wow, ever heard of a bad apple?
I can't wait to talk more about the infamous bad apples, so to
speak, that we see in our films. Farmers learned a single
diseased apple could quickly rot the entire barrel of all the
apples. Even the performance I learned
of the people you sit next to at work or work with.
For example, sitting near a high performer can increase your own
performance by up to 15% and a a a toxic Co worker can negatively
impact your performance sometimes by as much as 30%.
I guess it does make sense and it makes sense with health.
For example, what you put in your body and how you treat it
effects what you get out. Cause and effect.
Plant the seed, get the fruit or the weed.
But back to who we surround ourselves with?
Food again, I know. Back to who we surround
ourselves with. What about those inside us?
What about the different things we say to ourselves in our head?
Voices in a way. Internally, do we surround
ourselves, even in our minds, with thoughts or inner voice
that affect us positively, negatively.
Who gets VIP entry into our thoughts?
Who should get kicked out by a scary, scary no nonsense
sponsor? Who gets a round trip pass in
our mind? A lifetime supply, Limitless
access? What about the algorithm of
life? What you focus more on, give
more time and attention to on social media shows up more in
your algorithm? Is that how it is with
everything else? The algorithm of life.
What you focus more on, give more time and attention to,
shows up more in your day. Your algorithm.
Simran style. Our girl from DDLJ.
Is she psychic, a fortune teller and intuitive as they say?
Did she predict her future and tell her own fortune?
Or did she actually do even better?
Create her future, create her dreams?
First of all, we all know our Simran is a manifestation Queen.
Simran's journey in DDLJ mirrors the core manifestation
practices. After all.
I looked it up. She dreams, believes, takes
action, and remains true to herself, ultimately manifesting
her deepest desires. I know I want in on that action.
Like Simran when she's window shopping, as they call it.
I'm sure she would tell me. Oh, here and now, Amy.
Yes, Simran. She would tell me.
Amy G Dream believe no araj speak, try ask to go on that
train. She's got a point.
Why not? Amy G She would say look for
what you want, focus on what you want, go for it, do what you
can. Surround yourself with red
dresses. Paint your walls everywhere you
look in red dresses. Dream of red dresses.
Listen to red dresses. Watch red dresses.
Sit next to red dresses. Surround yourself with what you
want and want to be, with who or what, what you admire, who you
admire, and maybe one day you will become a red.
Dress yourself. Dream it, believe it, love it,
live it, sing it, share it, write it, speak it, dance it.
Go get it. Go, Cimarron, go.
Or I guess you would say, go, Amy, go.
Listen to your heart. Your heart tells you what and
who may be dreaming, waiting, wishing for you, dreaming of
believing in a dream, a dream of you.
